Office Assistant

We are looking for a full-time office assistant to take care of the day-to-day office duties so that we can keep our customers happy and the team working efficiently.

Job Description: Orases, an award winning software development company located in Frederick, MD is seeking an on-site, full-time office assistant to provide superior administrative and staff support. Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated, energetic and experienced professional able to take charge of daily admin operations with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. Previous experience with vendor and office management required.

This is a diversified position requiring flexibility and ability to prioritize.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Opening/Closing Office

  • Event planning for culture events and office meetings

  • Management of supply vendors and building maintenance

  • Light cleaning for clutter-free environment (regular janitorial service contracted for office cleaning)

  • Ordering and organizing office supplies, kitchen snacks and lunches

  • Organizing storage closets

  • Inventory management

  • Light bookkeeping (QuickBooks Pro)

  • Mail distribution

  • Scanning of documents

  • Management of facility security

  • Greeting guests

  • Assistance with on-boarding/termination and other HR paperwork/processes

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 4+ years proven experience in vendor management

  • 4+ years proven experience in office management/assistance

  • 2+ years experience with QuickBooks Pro

  • Computer proficiency in Windows, Google Apps/Docs/Email

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and judgment skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and diverse environment

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
