FREDERICK, Md. (May 16, 2018) — Orases, a leading custom software development company focused on process improvement and business automation, celebrated their new office space with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. With more than 350 clients and proven performance of 18 years, the company has disrupted industries through its custom software solutions and is rapidly expanding.

After nearly two decades in business, it was time for Orases to move for the third time within Frederick to a new environment that would foster the future of their organization. Orases made the move from a 2,600 square foot office in the Conley Corporate Center at Guilford Drive to a completely renovated 10,000 square foot space a few blocks away on Industry Lane to accommodate their growing team.

By renovating the new office, Orases was able to incorporate some unique design elements to match their company’s culture and values. The new space features an open floor plan and some of the newest technological tools to inspire and increase collaboration with their team members and clients. With a new vibe and an environment built around collaboration and ergonomics, Orases plans on recruiting and retaining the best talent possible in the tri-state area.

From digital walls, garage doors that open and change the office floor plan when needed, a mother’s room and outdoor space, the new office provides an optimal work environment for the Orases team. The office also offers ergonomic standing and sitting desk options, a communal eating area stocked with healthy snacks, water stations, a peaceful yoga area, pingpong, a Key West Hammock zone and free parking. With a variety of microenvironments throughout the entire office, employees can choose to host meetings in the large conference room, on a couch or from the hanging hammocks. In addition, Orases created the first UI/UX Lab in the area that will be open to the public to test apps and software using the newest software and hardware.

Orases and its employees are very active in the Frederick community, and wanted an environment that could double as a community space to host trainings, guest speakers or community events. The space can change based on the need, and will be open to events around the area that focus on technology with organizations like Vistage, Accelerent, techfrederick, MeetUps and other local associations or nonprofits as needed.

Nick and Amy Damoulakis, owners of Orases, made it their goal to create an exciting work environment that promotes collaboration and creativity. They tore down all of the individual offices within the building, putting all of the employees on an equal playing field to create a culture of one and encourage co-creation.
