United States Lacrosse League Management System
The Challenge
Cross Check
USL is a membership-based organization, but in the last few years they have seen a significant decrease in their membership. They found that their membership system was too complex, and that they were losing members because it was difficult to navigate.
They researched ways to increase their membership, and they ultimately decided that a League Management System (LMS) would be a beneficial tool for members, and would encourage more people to join.
Solution
Change Planes
A League Management System helps members manage all aspects of running a sports league-from recruiting players to scheduling fields for practice, organizing team rosters and managing fees, and even mass messaging important information to the entire team. Typically, leagues develop the system and league owners pay a fee to use it. But USL makes their system available to everyone for free, encouraging more participation and membership.
With USL’s League Management System, the whole process of managing or joining a league is much easier to navigate. And with the new member portal included in the system, USL members can join, renew, or utilize the member benefits with ease. One of the major benefits of a system like this is its ability to scale depending on the size of the club. The system is prepared for more members to join and for the club to grow with more members, teams, and leagues.
Results
Face Off
Ultimately, USL has been successfully using the league management system to recruit more members and keep the membership registration process simple. What used to be a 15-step process is now a three-step process, which encourages more new members to join and more existing members to renew. Additionally, the LMS has been a tremendous asset for league owners, and has encouraged more members to create leagues and provide additional opportunities for people all across the country to play lacrosse.
