Orases, a software development provider, was recently awarded the Corporate Culture Award by CEO Report in both the Baltimore and Washington D.C. regions. The Corporate Culture Awards honors top companies in Baltimore and Washington D.C. that recognize the value of creating a creative and collaborative work environment.
CEO Report recognizes companies that have championed for a positive, productive culture in their organizations and who have worked with employees to develop successful cultural practices. These are companies who actively and intentionally cultivate and develop a culture that driver performance, growth and sustain a competitive advantage.
“Orases strives to create a culture centered around purpose,” Orases President Nick Damoulakis stated. “At Orases, each team member comes into work every day knowing that they have a purpose only they can fulfill. Each team member has unique strengths and talents that they are able to bring to our company to make up a team full of many nationalities, ideals and beliefs. That’s what makes us strong.”
The Orases team purposes to work well and have fun together, to value their health and to grow. Orases accomplishes this through monthly happy hours, corporate events, ping-pong tournaments, fitness competitions, monthly company meetings, BBQs, boating trips, and more — planned by Orases’ Fun Committee and supported by management. Orases is transparent and supports a culture of one — celebrating the team’s diversity and each individual’s strengths. The company offers educational opportunities to all employees, including through local non-profit Tech Frederick of which Orases won $300,000 toward IT training.
Orases and other top Corporate Culture Companies will be celebrated at award ceremonies on February 7 in Baltimore and February 21 in Washington D.C.
