The Challenge
Legacy timeclock system demanded premium fees despite end-of-support status and fragmented workflow
Luxor, a leading staffing agency, found itself at a technological crossroads. They faced the difficult position of paying premium subscription fees for a system that had reached end-of-support status. With no forthcoming updates or enhancements on the horizon, they recognized an opportunity to invest in a tailored workforce management solution rather than continuing to fund an increasingly outdated product. Luxor needed a partner who could meet their niche needs for a modern time clock provider while serving their varying customer base.
In addition to the software being outdated, Orases worked to improve various HR and staffing workflows to be more efficient in the new system. Their previous time management system required staff to navigate between multiple interfaces to complete workflows. This fractured experience meant their team was spending valuable time navigating their previous system rather than focusing on their core mission of providing exceptional staffing services to their clients. The ultimate goal was to streamline operations, enhance user experience, and position themselves for continued growth across their expanding network of branch locations.
The Main Challenges
Paying premium subscription fees for an outdated system that no longer received updates which posed a risk for ongoing operations and maintenance.
Prior system and infrastructure needed to support a growing number of locations and devices, which the original system was not equipped to handle efficiently.

The Solution
Custom time management portal integrated biometric time clocks with dual-rate capture for seamless payroll processing
Orases developed a comprehensive custom time management platform tailored specifically to Luxor’s business processes with seamless biometric clock device integration. During the initial POC, the Orases team did significant research to find a biometric time clock device that could be easily integrated to provide a time clock system that would meet Luxor’s needs. This biometric, multilingual solution enhances user experiences while capturing “clock-in / out” actions, storing time segments with associated rates, and creating custom data exports to import into TempWorks for streamlined payroll integration.
The dynamic timesheet interface allows administrators to efficiently manage employee time tracking while uniquely capturing both employee pay rates and customer billing rates—a capability missing in most competing staffing agency time tracking solutions. Orases prioritized user experience with context-aware interfaces, slide-out detail panels, color-coded visual cues, and intuitive controls that maintain workflow continuity. Flexible permissions enable role-specific views with appropriate access controls, to extend or limit access for internal Luxor employees and external customers accessing the system for time approval and reporting.
In addition to the main system, Orases developed an executive staffing analytics dashboard functionality to help provide Luxor’s leadership with comprehensive order fulfillment data (fulfilling personnel assignments for job orders) across all branches. This executive reporting system automatically consolidates branch manager submissions, giving executives clear visibility across all locations through comprehensive Excel reports.
The system’s powerful scheduling features include linked shift templates that allow administrators to create and update schedules across multiple days simultaneously. Employee scheduling, time, pay rates, and biometrics are managed in a centralized location and propagated to all time clock devices an employee will access. This ensures employees have a consistent experience across all devices during their workday. Configurable HR automation options provide notifications in all cases, with the flexibility to choose between advisory alerts or strict schedule control implementation. Plus, operational staff now have the ability to export reports for payroll and clients. This centrally managed solution delivers enhanced metrics on time, attendance, and varied rates while offering customer-specific customization and seamless payroll/HR software integration.
